Joey is a training log that works like the Notes app. Write "Bench 100x5x3" the way you
always do, and last time, your estimated 1RM and your PRs show up at the end of the
line.
Once Joey is installed, you can also enter it from Redeem code on the Joey Pro screen.

SET 1Why Joey
Apps are slow to fill in.Notes can't look back.
Workout apps want a form filled in for every set, which is a lot to ask between sets.
So plenty of lifters with a few years behind them log in Notes or a paper notebook.
But Notes can't tell you what you lifted last time, so you end up scrolling back
through old notes. Joey keeps the writing the same and adds the numbers Notes can't
give you.

how Joey reads them.

What Notes can't do.
Estimated 1RM and PRs
See whether you're getting stronger.
Joey estimates your 1RM from the RTS chart, adjusted for RPE. Rep maxes and e1RM PRs
are checked against every earlier day.
Each lift has a chart of e1RM or volume (kg × reps) and a 1–10RM table.

Weekly sets per muscle
How many sets each muscle got this week.
Each exercise knows the muscles it trains, and Joey counts this week's hard sets per
muscle against a target of 10 to 20. Muscles that only assist count as half a set.
A body figure, front and back, shows in color where you're short.

Rest timer
Rest without leaving the note.
The timer counts up from your last set. Pick a rest length and it counts down instead,
with a notification when rest is over, even with the phone locked.
On iPhone it also sits on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island.

Percentages and training maxes
Write "TM 140" once, and a line like "65% x5" shows the weight to load, rounded to 2.5
kg or 5 lb. Percentage programs like 5/3/1 go in as written.

Bring years of notes with you.
Paste from Notes
Joey splits a paste into days at its date lines, and works out missing years from the
order of the entries.

SET 8FAQ
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and write. Make an account only if you want sync between devices,
which is part of Pro.
Do my notes go to an AI service?
No. Joey reads your notes on the phone and sends nothing to an AI service. Reading
needs no connection, so it works offline.
Do I have to learn a format?
No. Write the way you write now. A number Joey can't place gets a "?", and tapping it
tells you why. Any exercise name works; a name Joey doesn't know becomes your own
exercise.
What happens when I switch phones?
Save a backup file from Settings and open it on the new phone. With Pro, sync moves
your notes too.
Can I bring my Strong or Hevy history?
Yes. Export a CSV from either app and open it in Joey; each workout becomes one note.
Logs you kept in Notes come in too: paste them in.
What happens if I stop paying for Pro?
Everything you wrote stays readable, searchable and exportable. You can still restore
your synced notes on a new phone.
Is there an Android version?
Yes, with a home screen widget and Health Connect. The Apple Watch app works with the
iPhone version.
